Apple MacBook Intel Core Duo 2.0 GHZ, 13″ Screen, White (MA255LL/A)
May 16

The original Apple MacBook features a 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 512 MB of RAM, a 60 GB hard drive, an 8x slot-loading DVD-ROM/CD-RW Combo drive, an Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics processor with 64 MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory, and a 13.3″ widescreen glossy display.

These machines have AirPort Extreme (802.11g), Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, Gigabit Ethernet, a single FireWire port, two USB 2.0 ports, video-out capabilities that for the first time on a consumer Apple notebook officially support an external display that allowed “desktop spanning”. They also have a scrolling TrackPad, a built-in iSight video camera, an Apple Remote for use with Apple Front Row software, and the MagSafe power connector. Unique to the MacBook included a redesigned keyboard that does not touch the screen, a magnetic case latch and a case design that makes upgrading the RAM and hard drive easy.
